21.11.2007 - This is quite interesting. What do you think??
"Michael Moore praised the healthcare systems in Canada, France and the UK in this movie "Sicko". But there is another country that shines even brighter when it comes to fair, healthy living. It was "too good to be true" and was cut from the movie, but appears in the DVD. This is amazing! See for yourselves... "

13.10.2007 - I was at a conference in Gothenburg a couple of weeks ago, and it was great!
With over 400 languages, the Bantu family provides a rich field for descriptive, comparative and theoretical linguistic studies. During this conference, we want to bring together researchers engaged in the study of Bantu languages from a descriptive and/or theoretical perspective.

The conference addressed any aspect ...

30.04.2007 - GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN
April 27-28, 2007
In June 2006 the Year of African Languages was launched by the African Union in Addis Ababa. This year covers the period until June 2007. The AU initiative offers a perfect chance for us in Nordic countries to elaborate on our far-reaching and multi-facetted work on describing and empowering African languages. Although we are not based at academic ...

28.02.2007 - Last Friday I went to a hip hop class again, and this time I brought my brother Sigurd! He started taking classes in breaking and hip hop, as well, so it was a lot of fun to be able to go together. The instructor, Misha Gabriel, has choreographed for Justin Timberlake and is now touring with Janet Jackson! For this kind of dance, that reads WORLD CLASS!!

A team from the local TV came to tape ...

Photo from Scott`s blog

13.02.2007 - This is from my friend Scott`s blog:

What do you all think- is this unbiblical? Am I goin liberal?

After sharing the wrath of God and the holiness of God to a post-Christian culture in San Francisco I have learned that the wrath of God/justice of God/holiness of God must be in the context of kindness, brotherly ...

04.02.2007 - We all know its a small world (and Bergen is very small indeed), as I have experienced time and time again. But heres an amazing story:

04.02.2007 - This Friday night I did something unusual: I went to a hip hop workshop! Some girls in town had arranged for a guy come all the way from Chicago in order to teach a couple of classes at a local dance studio.

It was fresh, it was new, and it was hard... to me, anyway! Not only getting the choreography, but making it look smooth... man! A new thing (to me) was not using 8-counts while ...

04.02.2007 - Last week I had to say good bye to a good friend of mine, Fridtjov, "The flying photographer".

He died in a tragic accident, doing what he loved the most: flying. He was usually in a paraglider, sometimes with a small engine, and ...

In Bergen it rains in every direction, even sideways and upwards.

18.01.2007 - I know it's been a while, but here's a worthy cause for celebration:

It's been more than 80 days of rain straight in Bergen, my home town!! As of today it is actually 82 days... Granted, some of the percipitation has come as snow, at least where I live. I have realized I live on a ...
