Who am I?

My name is Vera, I am 29 years old and come from Bergen, on the west coast of Norway. I was born in the eastern part of Norway, however, and still speak the eastern dialect, for some reason :-)
I went to the University of Bergen for three years, and my Major was English. I also studied Linguistics, Greek and Teaching Norwegian as a Second Language. I also did one semester of Christian Studies at Norsk Lćrerakademi.
I worked as a children and youth worker in The Norwegian Mission Association for two years (1995-1997), and for one year I did a Bible school in the church Kristent Fellesskap (Christian Fellowship) in Bergen. I am still a member of that church. In 2000-2001 I was travelling with a team from Youth With A Mission called Impact World Tour, as a dancer and administrator for GX Jam.
Ever since my first term at University in 1998 I have wanted to become a Bible Translator, and I think it is God who have called me to do it. I have just finished my studies at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, in Canada. The school is situated about 45 minutes south-west of Vancouver and half an hour from the American border. I did a Master degree in Applied Linguistics and Exegesis. I hope to go to Africa with Wycliffe Bible translators as a Bible translator or consultant sometime in the near future.
